Yes there is a member that has a nice registry of 69 TAs.

If I remember correctly, the member who had the 69 TA registry list kept all VIN's confidential, I think he told me there was less than 100 TA's with PHS documented and this was 2007. This may have been TA's that were active or restored. I took this as roadworthy or being restored. This equates to about a 15 % survival rate. Should be higher at this time!

considering some of the ones to have shown up on eBay in the past decade, I'd wager every last one which hadn't been crushed by (Oh, I don't know, lets say) 1990 is probably fixed, or planning to be fixed.

I would be curious to know if Mr Mattison has kept tabs on requests for cars like this one.

I'm pretty sure many, many more are out there than what's on that list. I can name a half dozen extremely easily that aren't listed in the registry. Mine shows up under the previous owner though. Would be interesting to have all the data.

I reached out to the folks at PHS. Their reply was they're not aware of any registry.

Someone needs to reach out to PHS and tell them that releasing the production numbers for every year, color, etc., is very lucrative. I'd pay to have a production numbers vs. options/colors/engine/hardtop/convertible breakdown (like the Martini report) any day on all of my cars. It's just data and there's not that much of it.

Amen, brother. If Marti & Govier can do it, why can't Mr Mattison?

In the May(?) issue of Smoke Signals, it covered PHS (Jim's son is now in charge) and how GM tried to break in and cart off all Jim Mattison's records several years ago. In the following court case, they ruled that Jim was the owner of these files he had received years ago from GM. They are all on micro fiche, and not computerized as its millions of Pontiac build records. It also stated the fiche is deteriorating and may not be recoverable in the next few years. Really great article on the attempted burglary at Jim's place.

They make software/hardware to transfer micro fiche. Hell, I'd go through every 1969 Firebird 350 HO car they had by hand.

Not new tech at all. Has to be cost effective and not speaking for them, look at PHS point, who can scan them all in and cost to do that and market?

They are definitely deteriorating. We ordered the PHS for my brother's 72 TA back in the 90's and it was crisp and clear. Recently we couldn't find where we put it so I ordered it again in 2020. The new PHS scan was not great. It is kind of fuzzy and harder to read. They tried scanning it a few times for me and that was the best they could get.

I had ordered PHS years ago that were really hard ti read and kinda dark grey in color. I’m sure they are deteriorating but some were bad even back then in the 90s

Years ago I think Patrick Ferrante, Ft Lauderdale area. Been decades since I've seen him or heard from him.
