Default 68 Horn Button

What are some options to clean up a 68 horn button? I have been waiting for repos to come out and just found this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/265481396016

It doesn't look right. I thought they were a chromed brushed finish. I was thinking of scotch briting/sanding an original and clear coating

I just installed this a few weeks ago. New steering wheel and kit that included the horn button. Ordered it from Ames.

I installed that same button a few years ago...the wood wheel one that is.. It actually should be brushed and not chrome. I kind of liked the look so I kept it.
The one on eBay is correct for the 68 Deluxe wheel but not the wood wheel... It's actually a little more gritty looking than the original 68 button but it is supposed to have that sand blasted looking finish and not the smoother brushed finish. The brushed finish is for the 67 Deluxe wheel. That's the only difference between the two.

The 2023 AMES catalog now has the Original Deluxe Wheet Center Steering Wheel cap. I just bought one and it is excellent. "Energy Absorbing" was no longer readable with the Original and this replacement looks great.
