Default Best OEM fit plug wire set for 68

Now that I can turn a key and start this car for the first time in 40+ years I'm starting to take care of some finer details.

I noticed my left rear plug wire boot rubs on the steering shaft. What is the best plug wire set to get as far as OEM fit, boot type etc. Don't care about dated wires or anything like that, just the right length and type of boots.

They come date coded, but I bought a set from Lectric Limited for my 68, very pleased with them.

Wow ... looks like that Lectric Limited set even has the one 90 degree boot to clear the steering shaft.

I've bought several harness kits, T3 headlights and plug wires from them, everything fit and looked nice, if I don't end up selling my 66 project, I'll be ordering another complete wiring kit from them soon.

I think I'll probably go for the Lectric Limited set ... I think the only set I have ever seen that includes the one 90 degree boot. Says a lot to me that they went to the trouble to do that .. plus, made in the USA.

I once met the owners at the Chevy Vettfest in Chicago, real nice people, I always try and support mom & pop businesses, I'm guessing they still are.

Ordered a set from them, I like the site and the info they provide, even with a video of the wire sets being made.

I like these, perfect fit and looks correct.
ACDELCO 9508G {#19305816} Professional.
Use with correct spark plug wire looms for rubfree installation.

Problem with those is they don't come with the 90 degree boot, which is necessary to prevent that wire from rubbing the steering shaft. You can pull the wire up through the wire rack or try to pull on it with an adjacent wire in a loom but the wire has to have a lot of pull on it to keep it away from the shaft .. plus the boot is a pain to get on the plug with a universal boot since it aims right at the shaft. Pretty sure that's the set of wires I have on it right now, ordered from Rock Auto.

I've been running black Taylor wires with the 135 degree boot for a number of years now. No issues clearing the steering shaft, but a 90 degree boot would definitely make more room. They're thicker than the stock wires, but will fit the looms with a little persuasion.

Wires I have on I don't think have a 135 degree boot .. if 180 is straight these are more like 150 degrees. Maybe my new Ames deluxe engine mounts are holding the engine a bit higher than it used to be Had to get new wires anyway because of the rubbing ... so at least it will have "correct" wires with the Lectric Limited .. although I was never a big fan of the OEM wires.
