Default Firebird OHC-6 Radiator Hose P/N's?

Does anyone have good P/N's for the upper and Lower hoses on a Firebird?

I can't find the info on what I used 20+ years ago on my old 69 Bird. I can't stand the look of the flex hoses on my new to me 67.

Cut to fit is fine.

Thanks in advance

Rock Auto lists AC/Delco 24000L for the lower (along with Continental, Gates and Dayco) about $10.

Nothing but flexible for upper hose though...

Thanks James, I wish I could find my notes on what upper hose I found that I could cut to fit on my 69.

This is what I used for my 68 LeMans OHC for the upper. I had to cut quite a bit off but it worked well:

May be worth looking into for the F-body.

Thank you! I will do that. I had Power Steering on the 69, but not a Smog that may complicate things a bit. I will probably end up buying a few extra hoses that won't work. My local auto parts store that let me look thru the stock closed last year so I am out of luck there.

I should ask Jay Leno what they used on his build, I see he has a stock looking upper hose on his 68 Convertible!

I did use it with power steering. It was close, but I never had an issue with it. No smog pump, though.

I have 2 69 OHC birds, one with steering both are no AC.

The lower Ames hose fits well (FP205) but it’s a low grade hose (Gates20345), Napa 7165 is identical size but thicker better quality feeling rubber than the Ames unit.

As for the upper the AmesFP201 (Napa 7343) isn’t remotely right but by cutting a few inches at both ends it works and looks great and no clearance issues with power steering.

On manual steering cars almost any correct diameter hose could work as it’s almost a straight shot.

For reference here are the factory pn’s for OHC birds and A’s

Upper (inlet)

66-67 A: 9782710
67-68 F: 9788995
68 A: 9788995 w/o AC
9790274 w AC
69 F: 9798648
69 A: 9798648 w/o AC or HD cooling
9796092 w AC or HD cooling

Lower (outlet)

66-67 A: 9782712
67-69 F: 9788996
68-69 A: 9790279

So power steering or smog pumps never affect hoses and only A body cars used a unique upper hose in event of AC. I guess AC OHC tempest cars must have used a rad shroud that required a different upper hose?

Thanks North! I have ordered a couple of hoses I will post how well they fit.

One more question, does anyone know what the correct hose size for the thermostat bypass hose is on the 66-68 cars? I can't believe I can't find my old note book.
