Question distributor hold down bracket

I am in need of a distributor hold down bracket for the four cylinder in my car. When the engine was rebuilt it got lost unfortunately. Are ones for pontiac V-8s the same? I sourced a cheap chrome universal one from the parts store to get my car going for the time being but it definitely doesn't fit well.

If you have one PM me.

Default Which distributer?

What year is your car/engine and does it have the cast iron or aluminum distributer? The cast iron was used in 61 and early 62 and aluminum in 62-63.
The hold down brackets are different.

It's a 62 and it has an aluminum body distributor.

The hold down for the cast iron distributor has a wider opening to it as pictured below. The one on ebay does appear to be the correct hold down with a narrower opening for the aluminum distributor. It sounds like the one you got from your local parts store is the one that would fit the cast iron 4-cyl. & v-8 distributors.
