Need advice: 1969 Firebird Trans Am RAM AIR IV pan install installation photos
Can someone show me your installed lower Ram Air IV pan on a 1969 Firebird Trans Am?
Looking to see how and where the j bolt mounts to hold it and tubing routing etc too. Been on Mike's site but actual photos of the set up on a car would be great. THANKS! |

Bringing back this topic... well to see if anyone with a reproduction steel 1969 Trans Am hood and repop ram air (3 or 4) pans have noticed that the upper and lower pans do not line up properly at all. I have the hood off my car and with the lower ram air pan placed up to it I can now see and tell just how far they are off - from the 2 outer 'heater' tube holes to the actual hole for the carb. What a joke. I can not believe it. And more can not believe no one else has ever noticed this and complained. I only care about the carb hole in the lower pan to the upper pan - I will take a photo and post what I am referring to.
So checking to see if anyone with this set up can check their upper and lower ram air pans to see how they look with respect to these things. It is not right at all. And no way to easily make it right with out seriously fabbing these parts to work with each other. |
