Yes RIP. I like his engine bay. Had a oil pressure gauge, fuel pressure gauge and it looks like a water temp gauge under the hood. Never seen that before, nice car.

Clean and tidy would describe his car. He was a unique individual. He was also a loner. He traveled, drove, self-crewed, raced alone. So he had everything he needed at easy reach and access. His theory was to have everything the way he wanted it under the hood, temps, pressure, etc. When the hood went down, it was time to race. Whatever happened from that time forward he would have little control over. Car had some gauges inside, but other than tach, not much to do in a quarter mile race.

Still hard to believe.
I’m gona miss that guy. He was such a great guy.
Down to earth is pretty dang accurate way to describe him. I met him at Great Bend in 2011 and made it a point to go over and raz him a bit at every single race we were at since then. It was always welcomed and his enthusiasm was off the charts.
RIP Bill.

That’s a old school stock or Sstock thing gauges under the hood. . Those guys are the best racers around. Always impressed by those guys. Didn’t know him but wish I had sounds like a good guy.
