Fiero Bronze is a nice color and I think its a one year only color. Pontiac didnt keep track of colors so there is no way to determine how many were built. I was at the nats myself this weekend, always a good time!

Default 1980 fiero bronze TA

I agree on the color being rare, In Canada too.
I am in the process of rebuilding my 80 fiero bronze TA, Off to paint and then a 455/T400 upgrade before it it's the road.
Been fun getting to this stage but it will be worth it.

Mine wasn't too bad overall. Just the typical fender / quarter issues.
Just putting the final touches on the 455 and should have it ready for paint in about 3 - 4 weeks or so.
Got a lot of blocking to do to get the primer right. Will post some pics..

Default 1980 Fiero Bronze Resto

Just upping some mid way through pics of my 80 trans. Body work and primer done.
Ready for paint in about 3-4 weeks after I block the primer.
Did the fenders and quarters.
Ripping out the interior next weekend for prepping the door jams and tops area for paint.
455 / T400 are complete and ready to drop in after paint.

Got a little dyeing to do on some interior parts to freshen it up and to color the new items. New carpet on order from PY. And get the seats steamed.

All in all been about 8 months to get it this far but it's a labour of love.
No way I'll ever the money back out of it but that's not what it's all about..
Hey, if only the wife understood

Oh ya: Just put a new set of stock Eagle1 boots on her, rims refinished.

Can't wait...SWEETTTT !!!!

Default 80 resto

Upping some original pics of what I started with..
It looks much worse than it actually was. Solid car, just UGGLLLYYYY!!!!
The 301 and tranny worked when pulled.
It actually ran pretty good but opted for the 455 upgrade..
Frame is braced and front end upgraded/new to handle the beast.
Just need a big shoe horn to get it in :-)

Default Update:

I know I have heard this before and should have paid attention.

REVVING A 455 CAN REALLY HURT YOUR WALLET.

Back to the drawing board.
Reworked it again after having head issues. Ever try to find 1 6X head.. Now I have a spare after buying 2.
Bent push rod and valve after # 4 cylinder dumped fuel and misfired under load.
Lucky the rod stayed up and didn't mess up the cam.
Don't know why the thing didn't blow up or shake itself to pieces.
Some luck I guess.

Didn't hurt the bottom end - thank GOD !!!
To cover all bases since this is the second time in 6 months the engine was on my bench, I went with oil restrictors and die grinded every possible gallery and cleaned up a lot of the top end castings to help the oil flow to the pan quicker.
Going with DUI Tri power dist. this time. Accel let me down too hard this time..

My Dad special ordered a new '80 Fiero bronze turbo T/A. It was one of the earliest built out of Van Nuys. Turbo cars were not even built till 1st week of Oct '79. Dad took delivery around Oct 20th 1979.

I've yet to run across another Fiero Bronze Turbo T/A with black hobnail interior & t-tops. Every one I've ran across since that was this color had a camel interior. Car was equipped with WS6, polished 15x8 turbo's, AM-FM cassette, dlx belts, tilt, HD battery, etc & was delivered to Weldon Cox Pontiac. Anyone has it... I have all the original paperwork including original order blank, GMAC financing contract, etc.

Black interior would be sweet with this colour.
I have only seen camel myself.
I know of 1 other fiero bronze in this area.
Most others are SE Black or Gold or wanna be's.

I parted out a Fiero Bronze Turbo T/A before the turn of the century.

The turbo motor was LONG GONE & as I recall,it was full load except T-tops.

Cameltan cloth,WS6 & power everything.
