Awesome car, Chris!!! I saw that on Ebay as well and was getting an itchy trigger finger, but then, the auction was cut short. Actually, it probably saved my marriage anyway. Congrats!

Nice ride Chris. Congratulations! I have had similar thoughts of the GT-37 that has been advertised in one of the club magazines. It's Lucy Blue with white stripe though. Just isn't in the cards right now financially so I have resisted calling.

Thanks guys, I'm pretty excited about it.

Mark - the 3spd doesn't show up on the PHS but the M-13 is on the build sheet that came out of the car. Luckily that trans came with it.

Have to go to work now - got to pay the bills somehow - hope to have some video later.

Chris, not that it matters now but I did find at least one brand new emblem I bought for the car and missed it when I sent it off to Wankers.

I think I sent Wankers the shifter but I still have a bench seat one in my garage? It might be a 72 shifter, I think the 71 still had the Hurst handle?

Marx, yes I know the shifters are the same and the handles are different.

But there is a year that the Hurst handle vanished and it may have been 72 or 73 ish, not sure on that. But a fact for sure is I have a complete non Hurst bench seat shifter assembly in my garage.

Congratulations! I like the color combo on that GT-37 as well as the history on that car. I remember when Steve Hoog had that car for sale listed on the Arkansas POCI website. I remember calling and leaving a message, but I guess Steve never got the message to call me back. Which is a good thing because I probably would have never been able to restore that car to the condition it is in today.......absolutely Gorgeous!

theres only one handle for 70-72 4555 like the pic posted, it works for bench or console 69 was the last year for a "bench seat" handle

Nice find there! I think I've seen that car on an old GT-37 web-site. Great to see it was restored to it's former glory!
