Default Saw something super cool today - 1954 Chevy stepside rat rod with Pontiac 400

I will get pix up as soon as I can, but wish I got some more. I got caught up in socializing.

My work had a car show today. Pretty big attendance. One thing that stood out was a 54 Chevy stepside rat rod, with a 69 Poncho 400, running #62 heads and RA3-ish spec cam.

It was satin black, painted over the original pitted surface. A leaf spring rear end was added with a 10 bolt 8.5, and a 2nd gen T/A front subframe had been grafted onto the front. It had a Torker intake, Holley carb, and a 2 row Champion radiator that kept things cool with a twin electric fan. The hood had a Mercury ornament on the front! I suggested an indian head ornament from a 50's Chieftain or Star Chief would be extra sweet!

Thought I would share. It's not often that a Poncho motor shows up in a Chevy!
