Looking for opinions for subframe bushings. Do you recommend rubber, neoprene, or aluminum and your experience with what you used, e.g., handling, noise, squeaks.

I like poly if you aren’t running subframe connectors. They do not squeak.

In my 1969 firebird, I’m running subframe connectors and rubber body mount bushings. No complaints with the bushings; no harshness or noise being transmitted in to the car. I have used polyurethane bushings in the past, I didn’t really notice anything different between them and the rubber ones now. However, I don’t race or autrocross the car.

I did the aluminum bushings with subframe connectors and the hotchkis center support (x plate replacement). It is stiff but handles great.

Subframe connectors should use solid bushings for best results imho.
