Default 1980 Pace Car rear disc brake rebuilding / Looking for a damping ring small wire part

Hi

Looking for 1 or 2 Dampening spring for the rear disc brakes I am rebuilding.

They hold the pad in the rotor for aligning the D shaped shoe tab and piston hole .

Looked everywhere not able to locate.

Trying to load a picture from the 1980 service manual page 5-5

Thanks

Found the part number AC Delco 18004026 or 179-841

Now to find where to buy them ?????????????????

I just Googled the number to see what part you were talking about, plenty popped up. This was the first one. Perhaps you have already contacted half of them and NLA.

I'd try sending user name Scarebird here on the forum a private message about it. He runs a brake business and may have a lead for you.
