Default Inner door panel removal -- door handle cup / escutcheon

Pulling the inner door panels on my '71 Formula. All the tech sites instruct you to loosen the screw on the door handle cup / escutcheon. Which is great, except on mine there's no screw to remove on those cups. How do I get this trim piece loose? Thanks in advance.

don't the early years have the insert cover over the diecast surround with screws behind it? Later years replaced it as one-piece plastic with screws in sight.

if you havent figured it out yet, the black plastic plate pops off with a very small flat screwdriver prying carefully around the edge or at the corners. the screws are under that plastic trim plate.

Here's a visual of the backside from my 1971 with Standard interior.

Some of the deluxe interiors used a trim piece (below) that didn't wrap around so the chrome edge of the metal showed, and used either 4 fingers that went into slots in the metal portion (upper item - 1970 only, I believe) or two fingers and two studs.

Thanks to all, I figured it just pried out but I wasn't sure --and if I was wrong I didn't want to spend the weekend gluing and clamping 50-year-old petrified plastic. Happy Friday, everyone.
