Default My Indonesian wife has a pontiac story!

My wife came to the united states in 2000, on a work visa, with her (then) husband.

She had never seen a pontiac in real life; but she had seen them in the movies and on tv in shows like knight rider, and in the rocky movie (#2) and smokey and the bandit, etc. Pontiacs were like exotic american sportscars to her.
In 2001 she went to the Philadelphia auto auction and scored herself a bright red, 2 door, '95(?) Grand am GT.
Eventually she and hubby split and he made off with the car.
Her visa expired, and she was still here, somewhat stranded.
She worked at sweatshops in philadelphia, and farm labor in jersey, and lived in horrible places until we met.
She is a great woman. I married her in 2017.
She never dreamed that she would drive again.
we were able to get her legal, and get her a good, legit, job.
She had no idea that my GTO was a pontiac.
One day she said "This car look like pontiac" lol.
She was shocked to know that her husband loved pontiacs.
She had been pointing out every pontiac on the road for years.
last week she passed her driving test.
I gave her my old jeep liberty but she wanted a pontiac.
I found a low mile creampuff 2001 grand am gt for her. she loves it.
It's not every day that you'd see an asian girl driving a pontiac, wearing a pontiac shirt lol.
Dream girl
Pics will be added soon. thanks for reading.

Happy for her and happy for you. Lets see that Pontiac.

S.E. Asia had some remarkable, hard working, women who have come to the USA and made outstanding citizens of the USA.

The "Oil Pump Lady" EVA was one of those (China). I think all three of her kids have gone to either Harvard, MIT, or Yale.

I believe at least one of Eva's children drives a Pontiac. Eva asked occasionally a "Pontiac" question.
