Default LEAF SPRING FOR 69 FB

I have a tire rubbing issue and want to raise the rear of the car about 1.5 to 2". The tire only rubs with people in the back seat. I need a leaf spring recommendation
part number, and manufacture. I have 4 leaf standard.
Thanks

Where is the tire being contacted? On the top of the tread or on the inside or outside?

Are the springs currently in the car newer or are they original to the car? Springs don't typically lose rate over time, but they do tend to lose height.

First gen F-bodies have too little rate in the springs to control the suspension, let alone the car itself and then a car with 4 adults in it. You can run Z28 rear springs to help you out. It gets you an extra 50 or so lbs of rate in the back. I believe these would be correct, but the company doesn't list spring rates. If they are correct for a z28, they should be 175 lb in the back. The z ran a 380ish lb front spring. Your factory front spring should be around 327 lbs.

Going with a larger arc in the spring at the same rate as factorys (around 120 lbs) becomes an exercise in somebody custom building the spring. You won't really find it in a catalog and you can't use wagon springs like the A and B body guys can...because the F-body is kind of is what it is.

If the springs you currently have are newer to where you can throw out the issue of sagging over the year, that leaves air shocks to lift the rear or longer rear shackles as a more cost effective approach.

The tire is rubbing on the side against the lip of the wheel well. The springs are not old and are not saging. I need a spring the has more arch to raise the body.
Tire size 255/50/17..

A little more BS on your rear rims would probably solve your tire rubbing problem. Raising the car 1.5 - 2" is a huge lift that can create other problems.

Agreed, if you're not bottoming the wheel out in the wheel well, the problem is the wheel's backspacing, not the spring. That is where I'd advise looking to solve the problem. If the contact is minor, you can also try trimming the inner wheel well, or rolling it.

5-Leaf stack from 70-73 Stick Bird is a 5-Leaf Stack and fits/works well in the 69 Bird.

BS would cure the problem. I have MB rims from discount tire about 10 years ago. They are discontinued. Would need new rims to solve BS. I have rolled the lip. The front spring mounts from a 70s Nova could raise the by 3/4"" will look into that? My front tire are 225/50/17 and the dia and width is a 1" less then the rear tires. My be best solution.
