Default Brake Bias

What's a good, safe brake bias ratio for a 77 Trans Am with a Pontiac 400/4-speed? I'm trying to size up some calipers for a rear disc conversion and I want to make sure I can maximize the rear brake potential while staying within safe limits. I'm planning to run sticky 275 tires in the rear and 255 in the front, and I'll likely never drive on wet or cold pavement, but some margin of safety would likely be wise.
