Default 1970 GTO underhood harness routing

Still piecing together my 1970 GTO. As documented many times before, I got it as a stripped wreck with the front clip missing; the wire harnesses had been cut. I purchased new American Autowire harnesses, but I don't know the routing. I'm hoping someone out there has some clear pictures so I know where to run & clip things. Any photos appreciated!

I don't have photos of a factory harness but do have an assembly manual. Are you looking for firewall to engine, or firewall to rad support (or both)?

Chapter 12 in the 70 Service Manual has many pics of wiring routing.

Those drawings are way better than mine! I bought a copy of the assembly manual off Kijiji & think it was a set of photocopies...it's really hard to read.

Thanks!!

I had one of the crappier manuals as well when I started. Pretty much useless.

Inline Tube has since been selling a higher quality version which is what these pics are from. The pages are blue instead of white.

Back under the hood....

The replacement harness has 2 ground locations, One is a smaller connector, takes a sheetmetal screw. From what I could see (looking on the inter-web) it attaches to the body right by the fender mount on the firewall. Lo & behold my car had a hole there, so I assume this is correct?

Second ground is a much larger connection for a 3/8" bolt. I assume this grounds to the cylinder head or engine block?

I'm going by memory so $0.02...

The larger eyelet goes on the back of the driver side head, and the smaller one goes under one if the screws that hold down the horn relay.
