Default Vacuum Port Help

Attached is a picture of an open port. Can someone please tell me if a vacuum hose goes on this port under my air cleaner and what the hose connects to? This is a Quadrajet carburetor on my 1977 Transam 400.

Yes vacuum modulator hard line has a nipple that plugs in and a rubber hose over the connection.

Have you got the metal line that runs from the modulator valve to that vacuum port?

Default Vacuum Port Help

Clay, thanks for asking but, the lines I have are still on the shelf that were placed there 20 years ago. Slowly, ever so slowly I am getting there.

On manual cars, that port is capped. It's usually the one I like to tap for manifold vac readings when I'm tuning the carb.

The larger port to the right of it in the pic goes to the AC controls, smaller to the secondary pulloff, or at least to a TVS that regulates the secondary pulloff.

The left port goes to different things depending on model years.
