Flywheel Bolt Question
On a manual transmission 2nd gen (Pontiac V-8)......were there external tooth lock washers on the flywheel to crank bolts from the factory?
The Pioneer replacements bolts come with them... |

Have never seen any on the 70, 71, 72 and 73 cars I have had apart. I believe I was the first guy in there.

Not a lot of room in there. On my application, the ARP bolt heads were too thick, I needed to find original bolts or they hit the clutch disk hub. No way there was room for washers.
Probably me but worth the mention….

The Mr. Gasket bolts should work fine. Their heads are thinner than ARP. Clutch disc spring contact is always an issue.

I'll throw my .02 in. I used Pontiac ARP bolts on one of my clutch setups and the bolt heads contacted the clutch disc. I found ARP bolts that were for Chrysler flywheel and the bolt heads were thinner.
