Default '67 Catalina 2+2. Going to look at this weekend

Hi, I'm a first gen and early second gen TA owner. My dad is a '65, '66 Grand Prix FANATIC. Has three right now. Anyway, he's on the trail of two 2+2 Catalina hard tops that he will be looking at this weekend. Here's what we know:

1 - 4spd. supposedly, 376HP fully optioned, including hood tach (is that an option)? I don't have the block code yet. Tourquois/White top.

1 - auto supposedly 376 HP. YH? I've seen descrepencies at Wallace Racing and classical pontiac if YH is a 360 or 376HP. Any clarification would be helpful. Gold color.

We will be getting the vin. no's, block codes and trim tags this weekend for PHS verification next week.

Can anyone chime in with things we should look for, or opinions on which of these two cars are more valuable? It's a little tough to find information on these cars.

Regarding production, the number of 4spd and auto 2+2 or even better, the production of the 376HP cars would be helpful.

The owner said one of them is 1 of 110. I don't have a clue how he arrived at that.
One stamp in the area of the battery/radiator support is WF-7? Not sure if that is relevant.

Anyway, that's what we know at this point. Should be a fun weekend getting pictures and information off the cars. Thanks in advance for any help, support, advice on these cars. Greg

Ok, just got back from looking at the cars. As is the case on many treasure hunts, the cars were not HO's as originally incidated. But they are heavily optioned. Here's an update:

Car No. 1: 4 speed WG block code. Mariner Tourquois Metallic, with Parchment Interior.
Options:
A/C
Hood Tach
Disk Brakes with steel rims and 'PMD disk brake' hub caps
Power Windows
Power drivers seat
AM/FM with electric antenna
Custom gauge cluster
Custom Sports Steering wheel
Console
Door edge guards, visor vanity mirror, outside remote mirror
Fender skirts
Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt wheel
Soft Ray Glass
H70X15 Wide Oval tires
Safe T Track rear

Car No. 2: Automatic YH block code. Signet Gold Metallic/White Top, parchment interior.
Options:
A/C, Disk Brakes, Power windows, and similar options as the Blue car.

The blue 4spd has rust in the trunk, quarters, rear window surrount and other usual spots. The zone/dealer is 22/373, but I don't know where that is.

The gold automatic car is dry as a bone, originally delivered to Abiline Texas.

Since these are not the HO motors, dad is less inclined to pursue them, but if anyone would like to provide information on rarity, or possible value before or after restoration, I'd appreciate the input.
Thanks.

Here's the PHS options list for the Mariner 4spd. The cars are complete, with the parts that are off the cars stored in a storage unit. All of the steel wheels, brake disks, hub caps and other hard to find parts are all there.

Is it true that only 110 cars were A/C 4spds? Also, I understand the disk brakes were a rare option, but I don't know how many.

Any help on value would be helpful. Thanks again.

With those options, especially a/c and a four speed, being that 67 2+2's are rare to begin as well as the last year of NA production and, even w/o the 428 HO motors they are still rare cars that should be saved by someone. especially if one is very rust free and all hard to find parts are present. Try finding other 2+2's like them and I doubt you would. Nice find and thanks for sharing pics.

Well there was a guy with a gold auto low option in a little better shape than your gold one here in the classifieds and he had no takers at 3500, the 4spd should definitely be worth more than the gold one but they're both very rough and apart, with the crazy high cost of restoration for full size cars, i would say 2-3000 tops if that.

A parts car would be mandatory just to get all the little clips for everything that's apart and there is no possible way for the guy that takes those on to make money, somebody will have to LOVE those cars, if not then look for the canabalized parts in the classifieds.

I know this is an extremely old thread but was wondering if you guys pulled the trigger on these? I'm working on a 1967 2+2 Registry and am trying to document as many as possible. If by chance you have any other information, documentation or pictures you'd be willing to share I'd be happy to add them to the site.

Thanks!
Dave
