I was finally able to find some time and get the 69 Judge and Ram Air Registry updated. If anyone is reading this and has a 1969 Judge or Ram Air III or Ram Air IV GTO please contact me as it would be great to get your car registered and that much closer to getting as many of the cars build as we can. I have been keeping track of these cars for 30 plus years now.

Thanks, Tim

Registry has been updated as we are closing in on 1,000 registered 1969 Judge's. It's a lot of work but I do really enjoy doing it and helping out other Judge and Ram Air GTO owners. If you have a 1969 Judge or Ram Air GTO and it's not on the registry please contact me as it would be a big help to get your car in the registry.

When I got my Judge somehow I found out it was one of the first 200 carousel red production cars. I cant remember how I figured it out. Can you be any help with the 1st 200 Vin numbers?

Do you have the PHS?

The quoted number is 1st 2000 Judges in 1969, usually called 'Pattern Judges'.
On the PHS one can find the 'Pattern' number. There is a thread on this on PY. (probably more than one, but one of them is very good)

I have a list of many of them.

Welcome to the PY Forum , Lorenzo.
Maybe you meant you thought it was one of the first 2,000 Pattern Judges.

We could tell by the build week from your trim tag , and by seeing the PHS Invoice.
To be in the running of the "earliest section" of that initial 2,000 run , your build date will need to be in 01B or 01C or 01D .
And an Invoice Order # usually beginning with 000xx

Early VIN ranges will vary from plant-to-plant
4 or 5 different plants were building them in January

The pattern cars were built from about 01C - 02C with the same option group contents.

OK I am not familiar with the abbreviations. the PHS site seems to direct you to FB. and only allow submittal of Vin for Documents. Where do I find Pattern numbers? Interesting...Back in the 90's the old "experts" said there were 200 sent out as a test program. Ill see if I can dig up my old info that I had.

Sounds like you have bad information.
Is your car even a documented Judge ?
Do you not have the Pontiac Invoice for the car ?
That is Step #1
PHS is where you get that , Pontiac Historical Services
It is not free

The trim tag is on driver side cowl - underneath the hood.
It has your paint code on it , if that helps ring any bells.
On that tag - next to the left rivet - is your build date - for example 11D ,,, 02C ,,,,, 05A

If your paint code is 72
And your build date is between 01B through 02D ,,, you are in the hunt.
But not all color code 72 cars were Judges.
It isn't a Judge until you have the Factory PMD Invoice , or another strongly supportive original factory document.

There is no way to prove a Judge just by examining the car itself.
There are only suggestive details , which can be replicated .
Some details can eliminate the possibilities all together.

I was trying to make sense of this Framingham car that was on eBay a couple weeks ago, and if it is in the registry. There are VIN numbers in the entire sequence that match a registry car (G125) from the Al Mikulich dealership in NJ but the registry car has a Jan. 30 ship date. This car is Feb. 6th ship date. The registry car has parchment interior and this car has black interior. So it's a different car I guess, unless the registry entry has mistakes. If not mistakenly entered, Al Mikulich Pontiac ordered two Judges back to back so this one can go in the registry.

Poverty caps are a umm ...interesting... addition to this car.

The eBay car is from Lansing MI

Car was briefly discussed in Lobby a few weeks ago.
The partial VIN , is for display purposes only.

I have been restoring GTO's since My first in 1978. Well aware of PHS, build sheets, VIN decoding etc., tag locations, ALL engine and transmission codes and number locations. And as well can rebuild a 389 / 400 from that time period. They have been on the back burner for a while, however still in my garage. No need for the condescending attitude, you may just run into someone that knows a little more than you. As with generational progression alot has been overlooked. And yes mine is an original PHS documented Judge. Thank you for your expertise

Hi Mike, sorry for the delay as it's been a busy year and I am not on here much lately. Yes we are still up and running the registry. I am not as active as I once was as life is getting in the way but we are still working weekly behind the scenes lol.
