I didn't realize that the dash covering grain changed - was it a huge departure?

I never had the original dash in my car;
When I bought it, it had a later (78-81) deluxe dash in it - I only noticed that it was incorrect (aside from the dash strap) when I went to put in a correct radio;
I did source an earlier dash, I think i pulled it out of a '75 Firebird - but it's pretty much perfect.

I say all this to give backdrop - I don't plan on changing the dash, but would like to know how "incorrect" this dash which I thought was correct actually is...

It would be nice if we could get Tata's dash to facilitate the process.

Last I heard they were still finishing up work on a 65 Chevelle dash. I'll have to contact them again.

I haven't heard anything lately. I'll have to contact them again. They sent me a sample of vinyl but it's the thicker madrid, so not suitable for the dash.

Update from Al Knoch: I was just informed that the 70 (early) firebird dash is on hold because they got an order from The Parts Place for some ten different GTO/LeMans dashes and he's working on the molds for those. I asked about the pattern and Elliot said he will order the earlier pattern, so not the Madrid. Something to do with hair, but I forgot the name.

Nyuk-nyuk. HWY, you'll have to wait until they're ready then contact T.P.P. A.K. is working on the 68 GTO dash right now.

Yeah, they have them listed for $950, + $150 core, and say nothing about ETA. I might give them a call, see what the lead time is. But I need one with a cut out dash, not going to use a 2 post radio....

Where'd you find it listed? I could only find the $259 dash pad at T.P.P.

Any updates with Al Knoch?

I had my OER in my 73' out in a upper 90 deg day with sun cooking and my OER dash waved. It went back once it cooled. I will have to wait until next summer to get pictures. Anyone else had this happen?
