Default Th400 dipstick

Is the th400 dipstick tube different for the Firebird? I thought I read that it was. Will one from a different model fit?

A ‘70 GP TH400 dipstick assembly fit perfectly in a ‘68 I sold a few years ago.

as fastazzbird mentioned the original 69 th400 stick has its own length ... as it has 2 "S" curves to clear the floor pan I think
as the a body has a gentle S
do you have your tube??? and just need the stick??

I was surprised how well the GP dipstick fit, it went in easy and looked like what the factory would have used.

Either way even if not 100% correct it’s an easier to find alternative.

I don’t have one, I may be putting a th400 in my car and wasn’t sure if any dipstick tube would work even if it wasn’t the factory correct one. I have a th400 from a 70 Grand Prix that came with the dipstick.
