Default 7038140 throttle base plate ID

7038140 base plate...

I thought this was off a 7029268 but my book only shows
a
7038139

any help out there ????

those books can confuse;
I have understood that those numbers are an assigned number for a finished assembly.

I have that number recorded in my own file as being for a 7040564

Maybe that helps

Scott... that appears to be a '71 baseplate going by the throttle bracket and vacuum fitting in the front.

Looks like '70 with CA emissions also used that style baseplate.

I have found the #7038140 throttle plate was used on 1970 California Quadrajets only.
RamAir units has .123" holes in the throttle blades, .072" idle bypass air and shorter off idle slots than non-RA units.
Non-RA units has .093" idle bypass air and intact throttle blades.
