Default 1969 Judge Production Numbers

Hi Guys,

New to the forum. I have a 69 Judge that I was hoping to find some more info on. I think it is a pretty rare car as it is configured from the factory. It is white, with parchment interior and the really unique part about it is that it is a bench seat column shift auto car with factory air.

Was hoping there could be a way I could get some info on the production numbers or how many were made with a bench.

Thanks for the help.

No breakdowns on hardly any categories other than drivetrain .
You won't see a large number of other 69 Judges in White, or with column shift.

Welcome to the forum and Congrats on your Judge.
Do you know which color stripes and decals it had originally ?

Thanks for the info.

The car had the very dark blue stripes and decals with red/yellow outlines.

Check out my 1969 Judge and Ram Air GTO registry at www.69judgeregistry.com

As mentioned there are hardly any breakdowns which is why I started the registry to try and get a ROUGH idea as to what color combinations were built as well as options. The more people I can get to register their info with me, the better chance we run of getting some idea of color breakdown. There are guys that have great knowledge and info that IS very valuable to the 69 registry and really hope one day they will reach out to me and help out as we are not getting any younger and if something happens to them, their info is LOST forever and a great loss for us younger generations

We will never be able to have 100% accurate numbers as the chance of getting all cars built in the registry is slim to none, but I am giving it hell trying and appreciate any help from everyone out there.

Rare and desirable are two different things. There weren't many built with that set-up because most people didn't want that. It's like a 3-speed manual. Rare but not desirable.

I am interested in a local 69 GTO with the Judge stripes and decals on it.
Of course the car being 52 years old, is it really a Judge?
Is there a way to be sure with out paying for the PHS?

Thank you

Well I am no expert but the 1st thing I check is if the spoiler is still on the decklid lift up the decklid and see if it stays up as that will be the beginning of knowing if it came factory with a spoiler . If it stays up then it has the correct heavy bars were installed to hold up the extra weight of the spoiler. That is a start for you and maybe at that point you can decide if you want to spend for the PHS. Maybe the owner will split the fee with you? And yes I am sure a spoiler could have been ordered on the car or dealer installed with the correct bars but like I said it is a start. Good luck!

Thank you for the reply, yes the car has a Judge spoiler............ but I had a 69 and bought a spoiler for it about 20 years a go and it was perfect and there was no need to buy or adjust the trunk bars.
I'm just surprised that PHS has the only way of knowing if the car is a Judge or not.
I guess it's all in the build sheet.

That VIN negates it being a Judge, A Framingham car with a 103xxx VIN sequence was built in September 1968, at least 4 months too early to be a real Judge.

Perfect, I thought it was an early build because the car has the factory rear quarter chrome , and if I'm correct only the early models had that chrome like the 68 GTO's did.
thank you

Early Judges still had the lower rear quarter chrome, I think it was dropped in late february or so (but convertibles seemed to have it to the end).

Nice work North !

To add on that, Judges didn't start until build week 1B = 2nd week January 69
All would be 72 - T - Carousel Red until about mid-March

So your prospect probably had a couple or few clues that would knock it out of the running.
The trim tag would have produced a double negative.
However, trim tags are reproduced these days and a savvy swindler could get one made for that car that would reflect a proper build week and paint code.

PHS is the ultimate confirmation.
And we have seen a few cases of doctored invoices as well.
So bottom line is you have to buy your own copy in most cases.

Agree North, the earliest Framingham we have in the 69 Judge Registry starts out with 242379G125*** with an 01B trim tag date

I looked at the 69 Judge registry today to answer another question.

There are two cars on the list with build dates before January. One is 12D with a Jan 10 invoice. The other is 11B invoiced Jan 2 (seems like some sort of delay). Not sure I am interpeting that registry correctly? Those two cars were not listed as being CR.

Sounds like some data entry errors in that registry.

He also collects any Ram Air car data.
Those would be GTO's - not Judges
fwiw

Very few known RamAir lll cars that pre-date Judges , those you saw are among the very earliest Ram3 known to mankind.
And they are not Judges

I see what you mean. Kind of confusing when the website is called Judge Registry. Makes sense those were not Judge cars.

Thanks!

Is that your 69 for sale on ebay? If not, it seems to have very similar options.

Looks nice with the colour combo.
