72 Formula A/C Blows Cold But Can't Find Freon Leak
I had the a/c filled with freon 6 months ago, worked well but it all leaked out. Now a second shop can't find leak after including dye in the system to find the leak. They say no leaks. Evaporator 3 years old. Condenser 4 years old. All lines swapped to new 4 years ago. Shraeder valves good. Bad evaporator?

I am no expert, but must of the issues on my vehicles have been with compressors, but usually you see the dye around that area.

Look for dye around the pump shaft seal where the clutch is bolted.
I had one leak there. |

Fill with 100psi nitrogen on high side...use spray on bubbling leak detector...you will find it...the bad thing about dye is that it can be used only one time due to residual dye at previous leak site.
