Default How to cut hole for vents Reproduction Dash Bezel

Some years ago I bought a reproduction dash bezel for my 69 bird - at the time the AC version was not available. Because mine is a one size fits all piece it doesn’t have the rectangular hole for the center AC vents. Has anyone here used this piece and successfully cut a clean hole for the vents or have suggestions on how to get a square & clean cut?

I did exactly this for our 69 Firebird. I laid it out in green masking tape, drew my lines and used a small Snap-On air saw to carefully cut inside my lines then hand filed it to perfect size. I cut from the backside of the dash. I laid it out on the front for fit of the applique and A/C controller, drilled a very small hole in each corner for a smaller opening dimension, flipped the dash over, applied my tape, connected the dots (holes) by drawing lines, air saw cut the lines then hand filed for precision fit. Results were spot on perfect for applique and controller.
