I know this probably isnt the best place for this question but I figured it would get the most exposure here. Anybody on this board live near Lavonia Georgia? I was there today and found a junkyard owned by Kings Brothers I beleive. The old man was nice enough to let me in and let me look around and there were seriously TONS of GTO's and Early Grandprixs and Late 60's Bonnevilles and the like, all complete, all with running gear everything. Problem is the oldman has alzheimers or something and when you try to make a deal or get a price its impossible. He just kinda rambles on. Anybody ever deal with these people? There were 7 66 GTO's in there alone.

I thought that I had looked in every junk yard in Ga. Never heard of this one though. Can you give me directions from I-85?????

at 85 go right INTO Lavonia past the Autozone warehouse until there is a sign that says Georgia 327. Take that right one Georgia 327 and its about a mile down on the left. Have you ever been to Weatherlys in Winder? I went there today and apparently he has passed away. Know of any good others?

I have been to weatherly, lots of old cars there also. I could not deal with him, he wanted too much for his stuff. If he has passed, I wonder what they are going to do with the yard???

all of Weatherlys stuff is gone. All of it, county took it when he died. As far as him being overpriced I wouldnt know, he charged me 25 bucks for 12 bolt and I bought that wrecked 69 GTO he had for 500 bucks so I cant complain. I would love to go take pictures of this place but the old man is exactly the most cooperative. I want to buy the whole place, I mean there is only a handful in there that arent worth anything.

Boy thats a shame about Wheatherlys, I had ask him about a 57 chevrolet hubcap and he quoted me $25.00 for one hubcap, when I said that sounds a little, his answer was, well go down to wall mart and buy one of the things then. I just put it down and excused myself...

Have you ever been to a yard out toward Dallas called Poteets??????? He is susposed to have a lot of old cars...

25 dollars for a 57 chevrolet hubcap sounds great to me. Them damn things are outta sight haha. Anyway, no I havent,I am in SC near Fairplay little town called seneca. How far from me is Dallas?

Dallas is about 20 miles west of Marietta which is about 7 miles north of I-285

hey Guys, I went to that junkyard(in lavonia) a few times about a year ago,about had a anxiety attack when I first saw it!!! and talked to mr . King, he was very abrubt and really wanted way too much for anything, I understand that people are waiting for him to give it up or pass on so his wife and kids can handle it, hey 64 gto where are you from? I also got alot of stuff from Mr. weatherly, sorry to here he passed away, my great uncle was his dentist back in the 30`s and 40`s, I was kinda keepin the yard in lavonia a secret, waiting for the oportunity to jump on it!!??, so what`s next???

64Speed, I'm about 60 or so miles up the road from you. I live near Laurens. Do you know any Cantrells that live in the Seneca area? Do you go to any shows or cruise-ins in Anderson or Greenville?

my parents live in Atlanta I go up there atleast once a year. Im not interested in the gto stuff guys. Are there any 69 bird in yards around there. or nice yards to go to. My dad isnt into that stuff so he doesnt know where to take me. dont take the not interested in the gto thing to heart its just the gto stuff wont look good on a bird.

I live a few miles North of Lavonia,and haven't been down there in years. I bought a few items from him years ago when I couldn't find them anywhere else. He was OK then, but a little high. He did seem to have a lot of neat stuff. Not anything left up here in the Northeast Mountains that I know of.
