Default rock hard hoses

reality check here. how much pressure should be in my rad hoses ? new motor i am looking at and the upper rad hose seems to get real firm real fast. is this normal ??? i have a new t stat in there....i see no bubbles in the rad flow from gasket leak...temps seem normal. am i just paranoid ?

Yup, paranoid

That is normal, atleast from what I have encountered. System building pressure will make hose rock hard. Will do it on your other cars as well.
