Default 1992 Firebird - 820hp Drag Car

1992 FORMULA FIREBIRD







Factory Appearing Car was used for bracket racing with top quality parts throughout, focusing on “durability”.

Completion Date: 11/2011.

Run History: 2011=13, 2012=32, 2013=19, 2014=5, 2015=4.

Project Management/etc.: Pickett’s Auto, Darby, PA.

Engine: parts selection by KAUFMAN RACING EQUIPMENT, Glenmont, OH. Build by Mahler Engine Service, Collingdale, PA.

Chassis: Preparation by Lucky’s Race Cars, Phoenixville, PA.

Dyno tested to 7,000 rpm. Producing 816 hp. And 685 torque ft.lb. at 5,400 rpm.

Runs mid. 9’s at 145 mph. very consistent.

Pontiac 4 bolt splayed IA2 Block, 496 cu. in. Canton 6 quart oil pan, Ohio forged crank, GRP aluminum rods, ROSS pistons, Total Seal Rings, Comp cam, Wenzler/Kauffman custom cylinder heads, T&D rocker shaft, Comp springs, Comp push rods, Kauffman custom 2 four barrel sheet mettle intake manifold, 2-750 cfm Quick Fuel carburetors, custom exhaust headers, Kauffman timing cover, polished aluminum motor plate, Maziere electric HD water pump, Delco alternator, MSD digital 7 Plus Ignition, Crank trigger, MSD Distributor, wires and Coil, vacuum pump, in tank fuel pump with external regulator, System-1 oil filter. .

Tires/Wheels Front Moroso 26x15” on Weld Aluma Star 3.5 x15”. Back M/T 28/10.5 x 15” on Bogart 10x15” Welded R/T wheels.

Harwood fiberglass Aero scoop on cow hood.

Full NHRA approved Cage, Window net, Camlock harness, race seats, MSD shift light, Cheta shifter, sport steering wheel, Optima battery installed in rear well with push off switch. .

CHASSIS—9” tru track posi, with Moser 31 spline axles, Richmond 3.89 gears, Wilwood disc brakes.

Spohn adjustable torque arm, panhard bar, lower control arms, rear drag sway bar, drag shocks, custom wheelie bars. Hotchkis subframe connectors. Spohn chrome moly tubular k-member, QA1 coilovers, Koni front struts, pinto manual rack, Strange front disc brakes.

Transmission Specialties Power Glide, 8xhd spragless converter, SFI case.

This is a truly "Turn Key" Racecar thats ready to go to the track. There is over $80,000 in the car... You couldnt build the drivetrain for the asking price.
