Default 1972 Pontiac Trans Am for Sale

Anyone interested in purchasing a 1972 Tran Am, please PM me. Great car and fully sorted survivor. Lots of details including PHS, Protector-O-Plate and other documentation and ownership history. Serious inquiries only. Offered at $45,000.

This well optioned Cameo white Trans Am was built in GM’s legendary Norwood, OH plant on November 11, 1971 according to PHS documentation. This is 1 of 828 automatic cars built in 1972, and left the assembly plant with blue custom interior (211) power brakes, power steering, power windows, air conditioning, tilt steering, front console, AM/FM radio and custom trim group. This is an original, un-restored, three owner car with 69,000 + miles that has spent the entire life in TX up until April 2013. It retains all of its original body panels and possesses one of the driest bodies you'll ever find.

The car has had a one repaint work done at some point in its life, but still maintains some original paint. Other than a new headliner, carpet, seat covers and door panels by Legendary Interiors, the car maintains an original dash, steering wheel, floor mats, glass, console and many other items. The 455 HO engine, TH400 transmission, rear end are an original, matching numbers drive-train which has never been out of the car. The car is equipped with the correct original carburetor, intake manifold, 7F6 heads, exhaust manifolds, condenser and air conditioning equipment. The car starts right up and runs strong with all mechanicals functioning properly, including the shaker hood air inlet door. The car still wears the reproduction correct Rally II wheels with a brand new set of radial BF Goodrich Radial TAs mounted on them. However, the original rims are off the car in storage.

The car drives amazingly tight, indicative of a low mileage well maintained Trans Am. PHS docs and the original Protect-O-Plate document the car, including contact information of the last three owners as noted.
