Default LS3 Trans Am

This 1979 Trans Am started out life as a 403 automatic Martinique blue car. It has been converted to the following:

1971 nose and tail, whole car painted with water-based enamel in early 2016 to Cameo white and correct decals used (thanks 165th).

LS3 6.2 liter EROD crate motor, 430 horse all-alloy block, six bolt mains, composite intake, GM PCM, functional Shaker air cleaner. This motor carries a GM warranty and will pass CA emissions. Extremely powerful in a car that weighs 3,300 pounds.

Tremec TKO-600 with 0.82 overdrive, OEM type Hurst shift rod and ball, Ram clutch with Howe hydraulic throw out bearing.

Detroit True Track limited slip with 3.42 gears and 30-spline Moser axles

Exhaust is stock 2014 Camaro manifolds and cats with 2-1/2" downpipes, custom balance box transverse muffler.

Front suspension: Delphi quick ratio steering box, Moroso springs with Koni shocks, new bushings and Moog balljoints, tie rods, Hellwig 1-1/4" hollow sway bar, 1LE rotors and 1/2" wheel studs. Manual master cylinder.

Rear suspension; Hyperco 125# composite leafs, Bilstein shocks, stock sway bar and new bushings. Drum-in-hat rear disc

VTO Classic 8 16 x 7 lightweight rims with all season Pirelli 225-60-16's,
compact spare

New OER dash with Speedhut custom gauges in Mark Combs refinished instrument panel, AAR AM/FM/aux BlueTooth stereo, Vintage Air air conditioning.

1996 Corvette leather seats, new Legendary door panels, seat belts, carpet, dog shelf, headliner, door sills, weatherstripping, tilt column.

This car drives, rides and runs excellent - 21 mpg on the road and it capable of low 12 second quarters. It is not a car for the shy - it get attention wherever it goes. There are some minor flaws on the list to be fixed, ie. headlight switch label broke off, side glass fitment, etc. but overall is an excellent machine.
