Need a little help here, folks:
On my 66 Tempest, the wiper arms will not return to the bottom of the windshield when the switch is turned off (two-speed motor w/washer pump). My question is: Is there anything I should look for before I go ahead and spring for a new motor? ------------------------------------------------- "The road goes on forever, and the party never ends." - Robert Earl Keen

I had the same problem.... took apart motor and found that shunt had burnt up. Had to spring for new motor, and took care of it. Make sure wires are on correctly, found previous owner had conectors turned around and forced on. Reguards

I had the same problem and disassembled the motor and determined that the shunt had burnt up. Pony up for a new motor. Mine had been mis-wired... previous owner had forced the connector on the wrong way. Reguards.

Yes, I got it. Thanks for sharing. In a nutshell.... Do I need a new motor? Damn I just took that one out and detailed the heck out of it as part of my "quick disk brake upgrade" that took all winter, and ended up including a new exhaust........ :-)
thanks!!!!!!
