Default 1997 Formula WS6 Convertible Production Numbers

A friend of mine just acquired a 1997 Formula WS6 Convertible. It is equipped with Ram Air, 6 speed manual, leather interior, chrome wheels, and is Black on Black. Are the production numbers available on this car? He was told it was 1 of 43 or something like that. I know you guys will know!

I found the information online that there were 41 WS6 Formula Convertibles in 1997. His question is how many were 6 speed manuals and how many were automatic? It is a very nice garage kept car.

These are great cars- I have green 97 WS6 Formula convertible auto. I have heard 41 and 42 were produced- could be either. I don’t know if it is still available but there used to be a service called ‘compnine’ that would let you enter a vin and see how many similar cars were made. I believe on mine there were 7 green ones.

I believe the numbers are published in the Firehawk book - since the pre-98 WS6 cars were all done at the same facility as the Firehawks, there is some overlap.

It's regularly listed in Smoke Signals;
The author lived in my city for a spell - really nice guy, and a super fantastic book.
