Default Tach failure

Greetings all,
Took the 66 Tempest Sprint for a drive tonight and the tach was non-functional. Worked fine yesterday. I will say it always wavered a little bit while driving at a steady speed. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!!

I had a similar problem with my Sprint tach in my '67 GTO. It wasn't working, so I took the entire dash out and had the speedo refurbished. I discovered that my tach was fine, but that one of the small screws on the tach face had worked loose and was keeping the needle from moving. Once I tightened it, the tach worked fine. I ended up getting a new correct tach from Pete Serio, and I still have my Sprint tach.
