Default 1965 GTO Inner Cowl Kick Panel and Lower Door Hinge Panel Replacement Parts

I'm restoring a 1965 GTO and the lower portions of the inner A-posts / Door Hinge Panels are rotted down inside the rockers. Since these parts are not available for '65, but are for 1966-67, does anyone know if they will fit a '65? The photos of the new parts from Ames Performance (D124TL and D124PL) appear to be very close in appearance to the panels on my car.

If they are not the same it will be a lot easier to modify those than to fab your own.

Agreed. I'm hoping that someone might now what the difference is, assuming that there are differences since 1964-65 are not mentioned in the description of these new parts. If they are they are the same overall size and shape then that's fine, but if there are major differences in the contour and other stamped aspects then it would be simpler to make new lower pieces and butt-weld them in place.
