Default Looking for OEM help

What markings are on an OEM wiper insert on a 66 model? 64 and 65 have a series of dots embossed in the rubber the length of the insert. I would like to know what distinction a 66 has.

THANKS

"Bill"!

Default Anco or Trico?

Which brand wiper blades? They used both Anco & Trico. I researched this a couple years back for my '67 and the same applied to '66. The Oct '66 print MPC shows only blade assemblies for '66 & '67 for the "42" series cars, but I did find the correct refills for my '67 Anco blades with some research. They are embossed with number 2782444. I will attach photos of this info I found.

As I stated above, '66 & '67 are the same. That's also shown by the attached MPC page photo. The brand of blade might make a difference and was why I asked what you're working with.

As you can see, they are Trico arms. They measure 15". The insert has the embossed bumps that are correct for 64. Any help is appreciated!!!

Bill, are those blades and inserts the originals from a '66?
Do those inserts have the squeeze type retainer clip on one end?
Are there any patent numbers molded into the rubber above the dots?
Any chance you could remove one insert so I can see a photo of the upper portion of it that's hidden.

Here's what I found on eBay doing a quick search. Pretty sure the Trico refill number is RF-15.
There are two different designs and I don't know when they changed from "dots" to the "three line" type.
Photos attached of both.

Bill,

If you're not concerned with 100% OEM, you can buy new Trico reproduction blade assemblies that look like the originals.
Otherwise, we can figure out the factory OEM inserts/refills for your original blades.

Click on this link for new Trico blade assemblies... https://www.oerparts.com/product/3899508.html

Hello Grant. I am looking for the real deal for a concours build. The arms on the car were definitely wrong. Several sets have been accumulated. Three of the inserts have the triple line. One insert had the embossed bumps No patent pending or part numbers stamped in the arms. Hopefully Rich can add to the pictures he has with some more detail, please!!!

I will add several more pictures of the accumulation tomorrow!!

Bill,
So it sounds like you'll have to go through and pick out the best pair of blades to use and we can go from there. I'll wait to see your photos.
On the rubber inserts/refills you can decide on which way to go, dots or lines.
The numbers I was referring to are actually molded into the rubber insert.
Grant
