Default Another JEGS unhappy customer.......

I ordered a set of tires from Jeg's, I get an email indicating they won't ship for 2 months, so I cancel the order. Then they ship the tires anyway, this after I ordered the tires again from a different business. I call to return the tires, they want to charge me return shipping, tell me the tires can't be pick up and I have to drop them off. We get through all of that, and I return the tires. The amount recredited does not include tax, I contact them, and they say they can't return my tax and there is a processing fee. Can't return my tax on a product I didn't get from them? For sure they don't have items in stock like the Web Page says. It's likely a business model to reduce warehousing costs and just accept that there will be errors and upset customers when they can't deliver the product. Essentially JEGS has lost all my business, I will never purchase from them again. they are no longer a reputable business. Buyer beware of JEGS.

From what I understand JEGS has been purchased by an investment firm. Maybe they are making some changes there.

Pretty sure it's against the law to keep the sales tax.

Have you tried contacting your credit card company? They are likely the only ones in this situation with any leverage over Jegs - whether they will use it or not is another story but that is where I would start.

They where bought out not long ago. Shame, I don’t expect them to be around for long the way the new ownership is running things.

Summits getting just as bad. I had like 600 dollars worth of stuff stolen off my porch. I got a police report and they refunded me but with warning that if this or a lot of returns from the build show up they’re gonna refuse me as a customer.

It seems that the average large organization now seems to have adopted the same rate of attrition business model as UPS or FedEx. Whomever developed the policy must have had icewater in their viens.

I was a lifetime Jegs guy, started using Summit about a year ago. Been happy with them so far.
