Default cadmium plating source in Houston

There have been a number of posts asking for plating sources over the years and I’ve recommended Delta Specialty Coatings in Houston who I’ve used for cadmium plating for twenty years or so. These pictures show a batch I picked up on January 20th. I had dropped it off on December 16th. It consists of 19.6 lbs. of steel AFB carburetor and linkage components and they charged me $202 and change to do it. While the linkage stuff had been bead blasted because I’d fabricated it the carb parts were taken to them as is and they pickled it before plating it, all of which was covered by their $202 price. They do much more than cad plating if you click around on their site. You may notice that the owners name is Mike Reeder but we are not related and weren’t aware of one another’s existence until I started using them. They take stuff shipped in and they will ship it back but I always drive my stuff over and back due to the rarity of the items I’m having plated.

Cadmium plating is highly restricted due to the toxicity of cadmium. Thanks for the info.
