20 years ago I put together a 72 charger with a stock bottom end 72 440 .450 ish lift cam. Low compression. Bought a TKO2 with .82 OD. Started out with 3.23 gear. Got the .82 cause I was worried it would have trouble pulling hills. Well, now it has a 2.76 gear and still has no problem pulling 55-60mph hills of any grade in 5th

Last year put a 72 LeMans together with a stock bottom end '76 455. Swapped heads to get 9.5-1 Installed crower 60919 cam, stock 1.5 stamped rockers Q-Jet with parts from Cliff. Stock 10bolt 2.78 gear. It pulls 55-60mph hills with zero effort at 1500rpm in .73 ratio OD
