That date code is April 13 1964.
Your distributor number should be 1111078 I think.

1965 GTO´s should have a #1111054 points distributor.
#1111052 is for 1964 326 cui and 421 cui V8´s. |

From Service Craftsman News issue 6 - 1964 (pg 67)
This would have come out before Jan 1st 1965. (not sure of actual date they come out) Also doesn't say for GTO or not GTO.

Maybe your 65 started with TI that went bad. That could be a normal conversion piece. My 64 has the born with the 052 unit.

OK, thanks guys. I guess from the info., it was not original to my car.
I will probably sell it later if the one in my car is OK once I pull it out and get it calibrated to my cars engine. ( I have never pulled it out since I've owned my car.) 20 years. Dave |

054 Distributor
Here is an old 1965 Sun Electric Corporation sheet showing the 1111054 distributor.
They listed the engine codes and carburation incorrectly on this sheet. The 1111054 was also used on the 1966 GTO with standard ignition.

1966 4-barrel GTO´s uses the 1111078 distributor, Tri-Power GTO´s got the 1111054 distributor. There is also a 1966 2:nd production Tri-Power distributor #1111175.
