Replacing original bucket seats with aftermarket buckets with factory pattern covers
My wife saw a pair of nice bucket seats with side bolsters. I found a pair that Detroit Muscle used that list for around $769/pair.
They do not have the 65 diagonal pattern in the covers. I did find really nice buckets that do match that diagonal pattern, but they want $1069 EACH for them (EEK!) Any ideas, links, sources? |

I have seen some of those in person and the ones I saw did not hold up well. I do not know the brand do they at be different.
Legendary Interiors sells foam and seat covers that match the original style. I have them in my 69 Charger. They do have bolstering but not like a new car. Still, I like them. You can look at TMI products. They sell front custom seats and rear seat covers to match |

Note- the legendary bucket seat covers and foam use your original seat frames

Many moons ago I had a pair of Pulsar NX buckets recovered to match my 68 GTO pattern by a local shop. Not sure if it was "expensive" for the times but they sure came out nice.

Thanks for the replies. Basically if I could find bucket seats like either pair in the 65 pattern in parchment, I'd be set.
Although she's worth it, and so is my wife (lol) $1,069 per seat is a bit rich. |

The ones I looked at were over $2k/pair For that kind of coin, the 2nd seat I pictured is perfect. They have the identical pattern as the 65 GTO material. Damn! I may have to go that route. The Scat Procar bucket seats I replaced my bench seat with were $330 a pair on sale, and while they are a tiny bit too tight at the butt bones/hip area, it's not that bad. $2k would buy a lot of other stuff |

I had no idea TMI was that much, have just seen them mentioned on the pro-touring websites.
This is the one that I was thinking of from legendary that uses stick seat frames, but it looks like they start at ‘66? They maybe able to make you a set for a ‘65 if the seat frames are the same. They do a lot of custom work. https://www.legendaryautointeriors.c...ry-met-bronze/ |

Take a look here:
https://procarbyscat.com/product-cat...ype/recliners/ It looks like they have a Custom Shop option now- look under their "Shop" menu- Also, places like Summit and Jegs probably have a better price on them.

John
Thanks for the info. If they could cover one of those with a copy of the 65 GTO diagonal pattern, and do it for a few hundred less than $1,069 per seat (eek) that may be the ticket. I see they have a 5 point harness compatible seat in XL, that is wider. I may get those in yellow and black like the ones I have now in my Roadrunner, but that event will be WAY down my list. |

I installed Chrysler Sebring Convertible Leather (Electric) seats with the Head Rests and Integral 3 point (convertible) seat belts.
I had to have brackets made to adapt the Sebring seat mounts to the Factory 64 GTO Seat Mounting Locations but a good fabricator did it easily. I plan on matching the rear seat to the Chrysler front seats in leather also vs go with the cheaper factory type material and pattern. Tom V. Not stock but a lot safer vs the 64 seats with no back rest lock system or 3 point belts.

So I received the 2019 OPG Pontiac catalog, looked up the seats, and they are listed at $1,199.99 a PAIR. So basically half of what I thought they cost.
My wife ordered a pair in parchment, the seat brackets, and a pair of side view mirrors too since the ones on the car won't hold their position and I don't know how to fix that. The seats are pricey, especially compared to the Scat seats I got, but they sure are pretty! The parchment version of this: |

When you get a chance can you post a picture? I was looking at these in parchment as well.

Sure. OPG said 4-6 weeks. I waited to save 10% on $300/pair bucket seats for my Roadrunner, but naturally my wife finds seats that cost $1,199/pair for the GTO...
The seats look beautiful, and I can't argue with the price. I'll follow up with pictures. |

Hello. Any updates, pictures or reviews on these seats? Even the OPG site has Zero reviews. i'm looking for real world comments from someone who has used them. Thanks
