Default Adapt Pontiac Valve Covers to Small Block Chevrolet Heads

Has anyone adapted a Pontiac valve cover to a small block Chevrolet head? I've had the itch to buy a Pontiac with the corporate 305 motor and purchased some adapters to put the SBC valve covers on the Pontiac head. If the holes were welded closed, the adapter flipped and new holes drilled, would that work? Any other obstacles?

I think it might. If you put the 2 covers up to each other they are very close aside from the bolt holes. If it can go SBC cover on a Pontiac head why not the other way.

I haven't done it.

Is that an adapter you have fabbed? I imagine you'd just need to countersink the inside holes and thread the outside ones. If that's from someone who makes them you could just ask them to make the set the way you need.

Advertise for a pair of Canadian Pontiac valve covers. They are small block Chevy and say Pontiac on them. I use to see them once in a while at flea markets. Most people don’t know what they are.
