Default What are these parts for?

These parts are with a metal turning lathe that I have. Previous owner had the wheel shaped parts in the tray for the lathe
I haven't had anyone that can tell me if the go with the lathe or something else.

Any help is appreciated!

Pics posted via computer in #4 reply.

Lots of items that I have came from the previous owner of warehouse. Just trying to find out what these are.

Sometimes pics posted using tapatalk cannot be seen by members who don't use tapatalk. Other times everyone can see the pics. Don't know what the problem is.

I can see the pictures fine.

Not sure what the parts are for though.

Maybe some sort of flat belt pulley? Is it an old enough lathe that it originally ran on an overhead line shaft system?

It's a South Bend Lathe 8117C . I was told it's probably from 30's-40's. Previous owner had multiple businesses including farm, fertilizer plant, cotton gin, sawmill. He built things and had a little bit of everything.

I thought maybe belt drive parts but haven't had anyone to tell me what they are.

It looks too big to go on the spindle. Would not clear the bed rails. If the lathe is belt driven on the back end, could be used to change speed ranges. At first I thought it might be for shaping metal but like I said it is too big to fit.

If you can find a place on the lathe where it can attach, we might be able to guess its function

It may well be a part from something else that just got tossed into the chip pan when you bought it.

I think I figure it out.

They are what a large band saw blade runs on. Found others still attached in warehouse. Previous owner had sawmill .
