I am looking for a good condition transmission for a 1931 pontiac 401 with inline 6 cylinder.
Mine has the removable open drive shaft

Maybe it would be easier to find an old B&M (or equivalent) adapter to adapt the engine to a later transmission that parts are available. I have seen quite a few on ebay in the past.

My friend says he has one for a 29-30. If interested call him Monday at 610-588-6194. Ask for Dennis Due. This guy has a ton of older Pontiacs!

Thanks Mark, I wonder what the difference would be between the 31 and his.
I may give him a call Monday. By any chance can you tell me where he is located?
Thanks, David

Denny and I are here in Bangor PA near the wonderful Pocono Mountains and freezing our butts off at the moment. According to what he told me the other day there is no difference between the years. Talking to him direct would be the best thing though.
