Default REALLY FAST CARS Post up your Opinions Examples

Assume we are talking a NA Vehicle. No Boost, Nitrous, Turbo, Supercharger.
(We have a Boost Forum for that discussion already). Just interested in what is left out there
(with so many racers no longer racing, passing on, etc).

Just some examples: No wars, no slurs, no slander.

They are fast also (IMHO). Dwight is not as fast as the other two. Snyder is very close, maybe he's been faster than the King once, but I don't think so. I think Langer gets the crown as he is consistently out there running the number. Snyder's engine builder's seem to have delays with John's engine projects.

I just remembered JL switched to a manual transmission this year. He picked up a bunch and set the class record. Most of the competitors started complaining about the BOP weight breaks after he set the record.

When Langer and Matukas get the chassis consistent with the Liberty, the NA 10.5 racers are going to start yelling to the gods to add weight to his car.

Interesting Paul. I didn't know that he went the manual transmission route. Do you know how much it picked up?

Hi Gary unfortunately I have little time to follow much racing but I think it was around a tenth and a half..... I know it was enough to set the class record and have all the guys that usually ran quicker start crying about the weight break. I think the record pass was a mid 7.6 .... But again I'm not sure on the ET gain or record time.

I set the class record weighing 3010 at Indy on my 12th pass with a clutch in the car. I have to add 75 pounds for the liberty in my class. With the weight, same track, same day, it is .12 and 3.5 mph faster then the proflite would be in my car. I was going to go to the World Cup race at mir in November but work got in the way. I honestly think with the weight out (2,800 pounds with driver race ready), on the little tire, in fall east coast air, it will run a mid 7.30 to a .30 flat…

Amazingly, the chassis really likes the clutch. Very minimal chassis adjustments needed to be made. The second half of this season was just a test session. We know what will go down every pass, we were just seeing how far we could push the envelope.

They are tiger 1’s that we heavily modified and kind of were the prototype for the tiger 2’s. I jokenly call them cv-juans as a dig at cv-1’s since mine blow them out of the water. There were a few keyboard jockeys 6-7 years ago claiming they would outrun me with that other head. 😂

John Snyder has run 7.59 @ 178 NA on the 275 drag radial.... Since then he switched to a nitrous class and is sorting the new combo out.
