Is cell foam necessary in 8 gallon cell with return style regulator?
Hey everybody,
The cell Foam in my 8 gallon drag tank from Summit deteriorated and filled the fuel filter when running E 85. Do I need foam to control return fuel aeration, fuel slosh or Reducing accident fire risk? Would these be a good replacement for the foam? https://shop.ctstore.com/store/pc/vi...&idcategory=89 Thanks, Craig |

I took mine out and left it out when it started to deteriorate, never replaced it.

Foam is worthless vs a simple baffle system inside the tank.
Tanks, inc tank is even better when installed in the stock location. https://www.pinterest.com/Nuke_Perfo...el-surge-tank/ Tom V.

If you have some type of extension on the return where it's returning fuel below the liquid level, it probably won't aerate.

Thanks guys - made an extension tube with 5/8 copper tubing to turn at a 90 to direct fuel to rear of sump.
Seems to work good! Craig |
