Build sheet says Rally II wheels & trim rings. PHS told me that the dealer put on the Honeycomb wheels. Does that sound right. Personally, I prefer Rally II wheels.

No that isn't right.
It must have been someone else besides Jim that gave that info.
Or Jim is slipping ....
Your car was definitely built with 15" R2 wheels

There would be no way in this world for anyone to know that the dealer switched wheels unless they were standing right there in 1971. Or were the original buyer from McKee

Its an either / or - choice on that option , as explained in previous post.
Hcomb was just listed by default and to save verbage space on the WSticker.

However, if you were not lucky enough to have the actual Bsheet - it would be an unknown parameter as far as fully documenting the as-built wheel choice 50 years later.

05C aligns with a May 18 final assembly date.
That would have been from the 9th through the 15th in 1971 (05C) for the body shell to start from scratch

You are welcome .
There are a handful or so of us on this forum that study in depth and decode these invoices.
Hundreds of case studies on types like yours.

If you can work the search function on this site , you can pull a search just within this 70-73 section
and use the term Y99 Handling .
It will lead you to threads that explain it more in depth , and cover the "either/or" wheel choice in 1971.

Another example is certain year TA's from 71-73 had a "either/or" wheel choice between R2 and Hcomb.
They will list only one of the wheel types in the statement on the window sticker.
Its just how things work sometimes to save verbage space.

The window sticker is just generalized about certain content.
Its going to say that exact same thing about every 71 Formula with Y99 option.
We know all of them did not come with Hcomb wheels , and we know why.
