After 16 yrs of owning my 71 GTO I'm considering trying to get the factory tach to work. I've always ran aftermarket untill some bum stole my Autometer sport comp the other night. I'm thinking of just going to a shift light for the track and using the factory tach for daily useage. I've tried to locate wiring diagrams for the indash tach but have had no luck. Anybody have a solution or somewhere where I can go check this. Thanks.

I have a "gif" of an AC Service Bulliten from Feb 1968, for the Tach used with the breakerless ignition system and I THINK that the right 1/4 of the schematic is the basic tach and the rest is just the amplifier circuit. If you want it, email me at gwelsh@cybertrails.com
