I will be seeing Jim tomorrow to give him this picture, the input I have received from others, and everyone's best wishes expressed here.

All the crazy looking stuff on the picture are the reflections off of the glass.

Yesterday I took Jim to Hollywood to have lunch with some friends. In addition to us were Tenney Fairchild, Gordon Wangers and Dave Anderson. Below are a couple of pictures from "the event".

Good fun as always, OMT!

Our waiter was a car guy who, back in the day, ran around town in a Mustang. After some prompting, he admitted his Mustang had some trouble against the GTO's at the time. As he walked away, Jim turned and asked me who made the Mustang. I told him Ford. He laughed and said "just messing with ya!". Perfect! Then he reminded me that Musso no longer serves his favorite rice pudding - hence the not unreasonable alternative on the table above ...

Sorry to hear this about Jim. Never meet him, although I wish i would have had the chance, but I have a great amount of respect for him, and have followed him for years. Prayers to Jim and his family.

the most recent Smoke Signals showed a drive-by birthday shindig for him;
He looked to be in good spirits.

Last met Jim Wangers in Milwaukee at a car show about 2016. He was very gracious and intersting to talk with.

Time is a tyrant who takes no prisoners. My mother suffered from dementia towards the end but his it well. Even when she could no longer recognize me, she made small talk like "I hope you are doing good." "Are you eating good?" "I hope everyone is treating you well." No mention of the grand kids or recalling of events in our lives. Those of you who have watched a loved one go through this know the signs.

I sometimes think Gods take our memories and puts them away for safekeeping so that we no longer dwell on things we regret or wish we had handled differently.

Prayers for Jim and his family.

I had a very nice aunt (when I was growing up), who later suffered from alzheimer's disease the last years of her life. Fairly healthy otherwise.

Jim W always looked to be in good health at all of the Pontiac shows I saw him at.
Really sad but most likely he is in little pain vs say a person with cancer.

I hope you are with us for a few more years Mr Wangers.

That was our car club that did that. It was his 95th birthday celebration. I haven't had a chance to see him since then for a lot of personal reasons.

Attached is a picture, but he is mostly blocked. We were driving our cars through, but we weren't allowed to stop.
